I’ve been working out again this summer, and I’ve been feeling good and feeling like I look good, and as we all know, when you feel like you are looking good, or at least better than you used to look, well, it’s like a drug, it really gives you a kick.

My body image isn’t necessarily the best to begin with - according to the TV if you’re gay you have to be either a greek god or an effeminate waif, and I’ve never been either. Which has always bothered me. Average looking guys aren’t supposed to be gay.

But, no matter how you look, you look better with some muscles and a bounce in your step, and, since I’m making more money these days, I can spend more time at the gym.

And in the dojo - well, still the gym technically - but I’ve been taking a mixed martial arts class, doing striking training and BJJ, brazilian ju juitszu. Learning how to fight better. Fantastic fun exercise, and it makes me feel a bit more secure, in case, you know, I ever get attacked coming out of a club or something.

Now, I know what you are thinking. How the hell can you wrestle with these guys and not get turned on? Well, when you are actually doing it, and the other guy is trying to hurt you to get you to surrender, it’s not sexual, it’s more primitive than that, it’s survival.

Afterwards, tho, I am all hopped up on testosterone and muscular effort, and it does make me horny as hell. Then I go out with my new muscles and my tougher attitude, and I have to beat the interested guys off with a stick.

I just hope I don’t run into one of the martial arts guys coming out of one of the clubs.
