I thought this was funny on a couple of different levels. First, the parody of one of those Xtian hate groups (who started it all with a sign that read “Gay? Unhappy?”, with a brainwash url underneath) is just fun, and the fact that this fellow got the fundie hate group to back down in embarassment is also fun.
But, how many times have you heard some straight or ‘curious’ guy say to you, “Man, I wish I was gay, you guys have it so good, all the sex you want, and you don’t have to worry about your woman ragging on you all the time!”. Seriously, I must have heard this kind of thing 50 times at least. I’ve heard it from men who didn’t know I was gay, just guys bullshitting around the coffee machine at work.
Of course, these guys have never had a boyfriend bitching at them about never going anywhere, so I’m not sure it’s really all that different.
Anyway, the whole ‘Straight? Unhappy?” thing just seems oddly realistic to me. And I thought you might enjoy it.

God forbid this parody inadvertantly “converts” a whole slew of straight people to gay. You might have a whole lot more bitching to deal with ;)

I don’t believe you can “convert” a straight person to gay. I mean, it’s easy to seduce a straight guy, they are just men, like all other men, and desperately horny pretty much all the time, but that deep neurological setting just doesn’t change all that easily. It’s not like religion. Well, I don’t think t’s like religion.
I have wondered if there is some aspect about being gay which is about breeding and women tho. Are gay people gay because there is some compulsion to breed and reproduce that is missing or is weaker in their brains? As a gay man, it’s so obvious that many men’s obsession with women is really an obsession with getting some sperm in her uterus. They don’t even seem to like women that much, they just are compelled to get that sperm in there, and as soon as the sperm is in the vagina and headed for the cervix, their dislike of women asserts itself again.
Whereas, some gay men (not me in particular) really seem to like and idealize women, and sympathize with their world.
